Graeme Montgomery

Photographer, Director

Graeme Montgomery is a London-based fashion still life photographer and director, internationally recognised for redefining luxury product imagery through concept-driven storytelling.

Emerging in the 1990s, he transformed fashion still life photography from static product shots into expressive, art-led visual narratives for leading global brands and publications. Known for his raw, authentic and distinctly British aesthetic, Graeme’s work spans high-end fashion photography, luxury advertising campaigns, and moving image direction, blending craftsmanship with experimentation to deliver visually arresting imagery across print, film and digital platforms.

A pioneer of technological innovation, Graeme shot his first cover for The Sunday Times Magazine at just 23. He adopted Photoshop at its launch, transitioned early to digital photography, and later expanded into directing award-winning films. Today, through his studio Gramco.studio, he leads the integration of AI-generated imagery within commercial photography, positioning his work at the forefront of future-focused visual production.

Alongside commercial work, Graeme’s personal projects explore social and psychological themes. His short documentary One Day, examining prisoner rehabilitation, won the Human Rights Award at the This Is My Brave Canberra Film Festival 2023 and the Gold Award at the 2024 Smiley Charity Film Awards in London. His art series I Burn For You and The Church of the Santo Daime challenge perception through ritual, altered consciousness and emotional transformation.
